F.I.S.H.I.N.G is a film by director Pieter-Rim de Kroon and scriptwriter Maarten de Kroon, makers of the Golden Calf winning documentary Dutch Light.

In Dutch Light the gentlemen presented the typically Dutch light, posing the question as to whether one can actually speak of ‘Dutch Light’ and if so, what is it? Is it a myth, a painters’ invention? Or is light in Holland indeed different than light in Italy or Arizona for example? Has Dutch light truly changed in the course of time, as the German artist Joseph Beuys claimed?

F.I.S.H.I.N.G the film documentary is all about the question “why do people fish?” From this straightforward question the parallel world of anglers and fish is portrayed. Above the water, underneath it, along and on the water. It is a film about the fishing instinct inside mankind, the primitive man inside the angler and the human being behind the angler.
